A-Frame Club is a brand new lodge and wedding venue in Winter Park, Colorado. With 31 a-frame cabins and an original saloon, on three acres right by the Fraser River, this property won’t remain a hidden gem for long!
Located just a half-mile, ten-minute walk from the gondola at Winter Part Resort in the Old Town neighborhood, A-Frame Club is perfectly situated for ski trips. It’s also just a few blocks away from the Winter Park Express Ski Train stop, which takes you up to the mountains from Union Station and DIA. But it’s also so much more than just a place to crash in winter! The 1970’s inspired design aesthetic and cute as heck dog-friendly cabins make it a great getaway spot any time of year. The Saloon is open to hotel guests and the public daily, and features a French-Alpine inspired menu for both lunch and dinner.
And most importantly (because you are on an elopement website) — A-Frame Club has multiple event spaces that can be rented for weddings and elopements. The private dining room in the Saloon is perfect for intimate elopement dinners for around 10 guests. For micro-weddings, you can rent out the whole Saloon for a seated dinner for 30-40 people. The signature event lawn is another gathering space in summer, but was buried under a couple foot of snow when I visited and photographed the property in the middle of winter.
A-Frame Club was brought to life by Zeppelin Development, the team behind projects like Zeppelin Station and The Source in Denver’s River North Art District. “A-Frame Club is taking mountain hospitality back to the heyday for skiing in the 70s and 80s that I grew up with,” said Kyle Zeppelin, founder of Zeppelin Hospitality. “It’s a throwback to a simpler time with cabins at the base of the ski hill that open up directly to the forest and a turned up party in the lodge.”
While A-Frame Club has yet to host its first wedding, I think it has a ton of potential as a micro-wedding venue, and I can’t wait to work here one day! For more info about hosting your wedding at A-Frame Club, visit their website and contact the venue directly.
