Bestow Events is a wedding venue that opened in Longmont in the fall of 2024, and as a photographer I think it’s one of the most exciting new venues in Boulder County. I recently got to tour the space and fell in love with the natural light and thoughtful layout of this mixed-use space, so I’m excited to share more about Bestow in this post—and hopefully photograph a wedding here soon!
Where is Bestow Events?
Bestow Events is centrally located at 201 Main Street in Longmont, CO. If you’re familiar with Longmont, you’ll know that puts them right at the south end of downtown, near Cheese Importers, Jefe’s, and the Dickens Opera House. And if you’re not local, Bestow is about 40 minutes from both Denver International Airport and downtown Denver, and 25 minutes from downtown Boulder.
What makes Bestow unique?
Rachel and Diego, the team behind Bestow Events, have put so much thought into every little detail of this space. Rachel has been in the wedding industry for years with her business a florae, and you can tell she’s applied all her knowledge of design to this space. From walking through the doors that Rachel brought back from Bali, to the running theme of greens and plants throughout the venue, Bestow has a sense of style and personality that I often find missing in industrial venues.
Bestow includes their large farmhouse tables and chairs when you book an event, so you won’t need to bring in event rentals just to seat your guests. (And it’s all cute furniture too!)
The venue can host ceremonies outside in the courtyard or in the main room where two large garage doors open up toward the courtyard—so you’ll always have a backup plan in case it rains.
And most importantly to me as a photographer, Bestow has abundant natural light from multiple large garage doors and windows. I was here towards sunset in November, but I can imagine how much brighter the space will feel in summer when the days are longer and the sun higher in the sky.
Venue pricing
I love that Bestow Events is not only affordable, but also transparent about their pricing. You’ll always find their most up-to-date pricing on their website. But keeping things simple, Bestow charges $500/hour for event rentals on Sunday through Friday with a three hour minimum rental. On Saturdays, they offer full day buyouts for $5200. That easily makes them one of the most affordable venues in Boulder County!
What’s the best time to get married at Bestow?
There’s no bad time to get married at a venue like Bestow, since Longmont is low enough in elevation to avoid the coldest winter days, and snow doesn’t stick around for long. If you’d like to guarantee a warm day for having your ceremony outside, May through October will be ideal, and I have a feeling September will be really popular here—not too hot, not too cold, and without the afternoon thunderstorms that can sometimes roll through in the middle of summer. But I also think the venue would feel warm and cozy in winter, and with multi-use spaces you could have both your ceremony and reception indoors if needed.
Where should we do portraits near Bestow?
If you’re looking for big mountain views, Bestow is about an hour drive from Rocky Mountain National Park and Indian Peaks Wilderness to the west, or half an hour from Chautauqua and Lost Gulch in Boulder. It’ll take a bit more time than just stepping away from the venue for a bit during golden hour, but is well worth it if mountains are a priority for you.
There are also lots of beautiful places for photos in Longmont if you know where to look, from small lakes and lush greenways to open meadows with mountains in the background. And of course you can embrace the industrial modern feel of the venue with portraits at Bestow, or take a little stroll through downtown for more urban portraits.
