H Bar G Ranch is an absolute gem of a venue, and part of what makes it so special is that it’s privately owned and not available for public bookings. So when Ashley and Taylor reached out about me photographing their wedding at the property that’s in Ashley’s family, I was stoked to experience a piece of Estes Park history for myself.
The sprawling property sits on the north-eastern outskirts of Estes Park, and includes a large logdge and more than a dozen cabins scattered around aspen groves and an open mountain meadow. The brides brought in a large tent to host the reception on the old tennis court, and the ceremony had beautiful views of Longs Peak at the end of the valley. With a venue this stunning, there was no need to head into Rocky Mountain National Park for portraits—we had the views all to ourselves instead, and could leisurely explore different corners of the property for photos.
