Lynn Britt Cabin wedding in Aspen

Laura + Drew’s Lynn Britt Cabin Wedding

On the morning of Laura and Drew’s Lynn Britt Cabin wedding, I ran into Drew and two of his groomsmen outside of the hotel where we were all staying. While Laura and the bridesmaids were getting ready, the guys were wandering around Snowmass with that nervous-excited energy you get on your wedding day.

Their wedding ceremony was at Maroon Bells Amphitheater, which almost didn’t open in time for their mid-June wedding date. The area normally opens for Memorial Day weekend, but the road took a lot of damage from avalanches over the winter. Luckily it opened two days before Laura and Drew’s wedding, and everything went off as planned. But it was crazy driving up there and seeing all of the downed trees and damage!

When everyone had arrived at the venue, Laura did a first look with her dad before the ceremony, and they both cried when seeing each other. There’s something about emotional fathers that always gets me crying at weddings, too! Then they walked down the trail to where Drew was waiting to see his bride.

After the ceremony and family portraits, we all drove back to Lynn Britt Cabin for the wedding reception. The venue sits right on the ski slopes in Snowmass, with an incredible view out over the valley below. And because we got so much snow this spring, there were still patches of snow all over. It’s a cozy little cabin, perfect for small weddings like Laura and Drew’s. The weather was beautiful, and their guests all enjoyed cocktails and the views outside while we did some more couples portraits by an aspen grove. Laura’s brothers disappeared off during cocktail hour, then came back wearing the colorful suits from Dumb and Dumber! Everyone got such a laugh out of it, but no one more than Laura.

“Nina was nothing short of amazing. She was so well prepared and efficient with her time, and my family all said how great she was. Her pictures of course came out beautiful, I had nothing to complain about at all. I was already following Nina on Instagram because of her beautiful photos before I was engaged, so when I started looking for a photographer, she was the first person I contacted. I would recommend her to everyone having an elopement, small or big wedding, or any event in general!”
