Matt and Sarah found me from a referral from Kylie and Kyle, one of my former couples who had one of the coldest, windiest elopements I’ve ever photographed. When they first reached out, all they knew was that they wanted to elope above the treeline at sunrise in the fall. No stranger to early mornings and high alpine hikes, the couple spent the summer hiking their way through my location guide before deciding on one of my favorite hikes.
Of course Colorado decided to drop the first snow of the season in the high country earlier in the week, but by the morning of their elopement it had already melted, and we only had to deal with the cold and wind. But Matt and Sarah were prepared down to their matching Patagonia puffy jackets, and we had the best time hiking and exploring before meeting their friends at Outer Range Brewing for a laidback celebration.
