When Torrie and Jon first booked me for their winter wedding, we all thought mid-December would be a safe choice for snow in a ski town. But Colorado had the driest start to the winter ever recorded, and our original plan of a snowcat tour to the top of Winter Park Resort had to change. Luckily the local guides were able to find us a new tour with views over the valley, and we still made it up the gondola for sunset overlooking the mountains.
A-Frame Club was the perfect setting for the weekend, allowing the couple and their families to all stay close together without directly sharing a space. We started the day getting ready in the cabins, before Torrie and Jon shared their private vows near the Fraser River behind the cabins. And while full buyout weddings here can get quite expensive, the private dining room off the main saloon was perfect for this small group to celebrate after a day out in the snow.
