Colorado wedding photographer

for couples who want a celebration with all their favorite people, while still keeping the focus on what matters most.

While I primarily photograph small elopements in the Colorado mountains, I save room in my schedule for a handful of bigger weddings every year. It’s where I first got my start in 2017, and I’ve shot over 75 weddings (and another 100+ elopements) since.

I love the excitement that comes with a wedding day, from getting ready surrounded by your wedding party, to seeing your partner all dressed up for the first time and spending some quality time together, to exchanging your vows in front of all your favorite people.

Because I want to be present and fully focus on my role as your photographer, I only book weddings that have a wedding planner or day-of coordinator to handle the timeline, coordinate vendors, line up the ceremony, and all that good stuff. If you haven’t already booked someone, I’m happy to recommend wonderful planners who’ll take all the stress off your plate and make the day run smooth no matter what happens.

“I can’t say enough amazing things about working with Nina for our wedding! From the start she was super easy to communicate with and helpful with any questions I had. On the day itself, she was professional and kind—even offering my husband a granola bar during portraits because he didn’t eat that morning! She perfectly captured our wedding day and I feel like I relive the day and all the emotions when I go through the photos. I would recommend Nina to absolutely anyone!”

“Nina has this amazing ability to capture moments of love, laughter, and everywhere in between. Over and over again my husband and I look at our photos and are transported back to our wedding day, one of the happiest days of our lives, and I am so thrilled that Nina was there to capture all the little (and big!) moments. The day of the wedding, Nina was a dream. I’m so happy we went with Nina for our engagement and wedding photos. Our photos are the one thing we will have to forever remind us of the day we became husband and wife, and Nina’s pure talent captured every moment.”

“Where do I even begin with Nina?! Thoughtful, professional, a breeze to work with. From the start, Nina’s process was clearly communicated and well organized. She checked in with us multiple times, provided us with helpful guides, recommended vendors, and came up with a timeline. We are in love with our wedding photos! Throughout the day, she made sure that we had time to ourselves to soak it all in, capturing stunning images along the way. Looking through our wedding album is truly like reliving the day. Nina, you think through every detail and we could not be more grateful.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Heck yes! I’m bi, an Equally Wed certified LGBTQ+ inclusive vendor, and passionately believe that love is love.

While I can’t book weddings without first having a date for our contract, I’m happy to share my available dates if you want to make sure I’m available.

You should also lock down a venue before booking any other vendors—except for a wedding planner, who can help you find the right venue. I have a list of all my favorite venues in Colorado here that might help you find the one.

I help my couples with vendor recommendations, photo locations, and creating a photo timeline for the day, along with any other photo-related questions you may have.

I am not a wedding planner though, and highly recommend that you hire someone who can help you book vendors, create a full timeline for the day, coordinate with your vendors on the day of the wedding, get everyone lined up for the ceremony, help transition the venue from dinner to dancing, and a million other things that make wedding planners magicians.

If you’re interested in working with a planner, please ask me for recommendations!

I do my best work with weddings of 100-ish people or fewer. For bigger weddings, you are better off with a photographer who thrives in that environment. I’m happy to offer recommendations!

I can—but I’m going to let you in on a wedding secret here: while some photographers have a go-to second shooter they work with often, many find their second shooters by posting to Facebook groups and hoping someone is available. Second shooters are usually photographers who are newer to the industry and not yet booking much work of their own, and willing to work for cheap to gain experience.

While there are times having a second shooter makes sense, like if you’re getting ready in different locations and want one photographer with each of you, or if you’re heading off site for couples portraits and want one photographer to stay with your guests during cocktail hour, I personally prefer working solo as often as possible.

I generally don’t book more than 18 months in advance, and most of my couples book around 9-12 months out. Since I mostly shoot elopements and only take on a handful of weddings a year, I usually have weekends open, so reach out any time!

Get in touch via my contact form, and tell me where and when you’re getting married. If I’m available, we’ll schedule a video chat to talk more about your plans and how I can help you. This part is super important! The more comfortable you are around your photographer, the better your photos will be, too, so let’s make sure we’re a good fit before you book.

You’ll get 3-5 sneak peek photos within a week after your wedding, and your full gallery will be ready within six weeks.

The exact number of photos will depend on how many hours I’m there for, and what’s happening throughout the day, but around 50 photos per hour of coverage is normal. You’ll get all the good stuff, without any unflattering photos or lots of duplicates of the same thing.

Yes, every photo is edited in a style consistent with what you see on my website. I don’t retouch body shapes, hair, skin, or clothing, because I want you to look like yourselves in your photos!

You’ll get your photos in a digital gallery that you can easily share with family and friends. You can download your photos as many times as you want, as high resolution files without any watermarks. Your online gallery will be live for one year, so you’ll need to download and backup your photos elsewhere.

You can order high quality prints, wall art, cards, and wedding albums directly from your online gallery. All products ordered from your gallery come from my preferred printing labs, and are shipped directly to your home.

You’ll also get a print release that allows you to print your photos anywhere you’d like, but I can’t guarantee the colors and quality on any prints and products ordered outside of your gallery shop.

“To say the day of our wedding was amazing is an understatement because Nina singlehandedly turned our already amazing day into the most incredible adventure! Thank you, Nina, from the bottom of our hearts for capturing these memories that will no doubt be cherished for generations!”
